If you answered “YES” to any of these questions… HYPNOSIS for HEALTH is YOUR ANSWER!
In my hypnosis practice, I combine COACHING and HYPNOSIS to establish positive habits and facilitate lasting behavior change. It is important to understand the “WHY” behind what you “do” or “do not do”. We will explore this together. My coaching techniques allow me to tailor your hypnosis sessions to fit your individual needs and desired outcomes. I also specifically choose the methods of hypnosis that are most appropriate for you. With hypnosis, you will enter a relaxed, pleasant state where amazing, positive changes occur in your thinking, attitudes and behaviors.
How does HYPNOSIS work?
Scientific advances have allowed us to see how hypnosis effects the brain. In 2016, a Stanford University study was conducted using a MRI scan. This demonstrated a significant difference in brain activity while a person is in hypnosis versus ordinary consciousness. The MRI measured brain activity by detecting changes in blood flow. These results were significant in validating hypnosis as a real, measurable phenomenon.
The researchers also found that at least 3 parts of the subject’s brain were affected during hypnosis. These areas are responsible for shifting attention from the “outside” world to the internal world, connecting the brain to what is happening inside the body and decreasing conscious awareness which allows the subconscious mind to become more active.
The relaxed state associated with hypnosis is also known to be a result of brain waves slowing down. This also occurs as we drift off to sleep and can be seen on Electroencephalography (EEG) which measures electrical activity of the brain.
Hypnosis is very natural. We actually go in and out of hypnosis frequently without even realizing it. The difference in clinical hypnosis is that we are using the hypnotic state to make changes in our subconscious mind. This is the part of our brains where emotions, memories, beliefs and habits are stored. Hypnosis allows us to access this area of the brain. When suggestions are given under hypnosis, new, positive thoughts and desired outcomes replace old, unwanted thoughts and habits.
